Lena’s Story
Funny thing: "Lena's" was never actually my nickname. It came later, after I moved to Ireland and started building a whole new life here. My nieces and nephews, my beautiful Irish family, started calling me "Auntie Lena," and somewhere along the way, that's what stuck. This whole brand is basically named after becoming someone's auntie in a country that wasn't originally mine. Ireland's home now, properly.
The café dream goes back even further than that, though, all the way to being a kid in Brasil (yes, with an S, some habits don't leave you), cooking for my family in a kitchen way too small for how much I was trying to do in it. That's genuinely where it all started.
I started Lena's for real in my actual home kitchen. No fancy setup, just a professional culinary background, way too much curiosity, and a refusal to make anything that tastes like everyone else's version of the same thing. Getting to experiment, mess around with flavours, and turn some random idea into something people actually want to eat, that's the part that lights me up. Genuinely. It's the thing that makes me excited to get up and do this every day.
The monthly box is basically me, mailed to you: familiar bakes with a little twist you didn't see coming, treats made to share (or hoard, honestly, no judgement here), and a bit of fun baked right in from the first idea to the last piece of tape on the box.
I'm not trying to build the biggest box out there. Just the one you actually look forward to opening.
